Mina and Imran had very elegant Pakistani muslim wedding at Hilton Chicago. They chose a winter Chicago wedding at one of the most iconic hotels, Hilton Chicago on Magnificent Mile (Michigan Avenue).
Winter weddings in Chicago are more tricky to plan. However, Hilton Chicago Pakistani weddings are perfect for December weddings like Mina and Imran planned.
Why? Hilton Chicago is a gorgeous wedding venuel where we were able to photograph all the wedding portraits, the entire ceremony and wedding moment candids.
Before the wedding first look and portraits started, we met Mina in her bridal suite for bridal detail photos and a first look with her parents. I strongly recommend having a quiet moment with your parents before you leave for the wedding photos.
This opportunity gave her parents to see their daughter as a bride for the first time. The wedding day is a whirlwind and the beginning of the day should have quiet and intimate moments like this.
Mina wore a gorgeous Pakistani bridal lehenga designed by Umsha by Uzma Babar. The detail in the embroidery was exquisite. I love that Mina wore a blush pink lehenga and contrasted with a ruby red bridal dupatta. For her bridal look, Mina asked her Chicago makeup artist to create a soft, dewy natural look. Her eyelids were dusted with a hint of pink and gold for added sparkle. It was the perfect Pakistani bridal look!
Imran wore a cream Nomi Ansari sherwani that he accented with an ivory shawl. The ivory shawl had an emerald green and red border.
For this reason, I love that the wedding couple did not match. The contrast was very elegant and modern. I would highly recommend any Pakistani wedding couple to take the same approach. Have your own aesthetic but have one common color like red to make the look cohesive.
Because of the snowy winter weather, we agreed to photograph the wedding day first look and portraits inside Hilton Chicago. There are so many gorgeous spots for wedding photos at Hilton Chicago that it took us two hours to complete the first look and wedding portrait shoot.
Once we got confirmation from the Indian wedding planner that the grand ballroom was ready, we completed the wedding portrait session inside the hall.
The grand ballroom at Hilton Chicago is our favorite Chicago wedding venue space to photograph weddings. The second level balcony features gorgeous gold gilded coves reminiscent of the halls of Versailles. Honestly, the grand ballroom looks like a grand European chateau.
Immediately after the wedding photos, we met Mina and Imran’s immediate family members for family formal portraits on the stage. We wanted to capture all of the family in different combinations while their outfits, makeup and hair looked fresh. Also, we knew they would be busy greeting guests so having these photos done beforehand proved to be very convenient.
Once the family departed the stage, we took the wedding decor photos. The enchanted forest wedding theme was such a unique design that complimented well with the opulence of Hilton Chicago.
The enchanted forest wedding decor designed by the Chicago wedding decorator literally transformed the grand ballroom! An enchanted forest wedding is the perfect way to bring a touch of magic and wonder to your special day. One of the reasons why an enchanted forest theme is perfect for a winter wedding is that it helps to create a cozy and intimate atmosphere. The warm lighting and candles will also add to the ambiance, making your wedding feel like a true winter wonderland.
