Kamran and Saniya love the arts and had an edgier aesthetic in mind for their muslim wedding ceremony in Chicago. For that reason, they chose a unique Chicago wedding venue called the Bridgeport Arts center. They fell in love with the idea of saying “I do” al fresco in the Sculpture Garden area of the venue. The sculpture garden is a covered atrium that boasts high ceilings, metal orb chandeliers, and beautiful exposed metal beams. It has a very different look that the Skyline loft located on the upper level of Bridgeport Arts Center. Check out Daniya and Radwan’s wedding at the Skyline Loft.

Kamran and Saniya chose the Chicago wedding decorator, Afrin Designs, to create a secret garden theme for their nikkah ceremony. Afrin worked with the muslim couple to incorporate rustic charm into the final look so that it felt natural and seamless.
This modern organic wedding theme was minimalist and elegant. The design elements were also high quality faux plants and flowers. This is a great way to save money on your wedding and a great wedding budget hack!
Another great wedding budget tip was the Chicago wedding decorator, Afrin Designs, reused the rustic chairs for the reception dinner later that night.
The overall wedding budget tip here is: if you chose a unique Chicago wedding venue, you do not necessarily have to overspend on decor because the venue details creates most of the ambiance.
Kamran and Saniya had their first look at the sculpture garden and we proceeded into the full wedding portrait session until it was time to set up for the muslim wedding ceremony called the nikkah.
As professional Chicago wedding photographers, our experience with muslim weddings helped us capture lots of candid and emotional moments for the couple
Once the nikkah ceremony was completed, the wedding guests were welcomed to cocktail hour. Pro Wedding advice: Keep your cocktail hour in a separate area from the wedding reception ballroom. That way you as the wedding couple can have time to enjoy the wedding decor alone and take more wedding portraits inside. Also, your wedding photographer can capture all the wedding decor and details for you to look back on.
For the wedding reception inside the Bridgeport Arts Center, Afrin Designs continued with a starry night wedding theme; an ode to Vincent Van Gogh’s painting. I love how this Chicago wedding decorator used her background in interior design to seamlessly incorporate florals, lights and lanterns into the overall wedding concept.
Having a simple small white wedding cake is a great way to save money on the wedding budget.
The wedding reception evening ended with a sparklers exit! In our opinion, sparkler exits will never be out of fashion and the sparklers add great visual interest in the wedding photos. Before driving off in their vintage Rolls Royce wedding getaway car, Saniya and Kamran gave heart felt goodbyes to their siblings and parents.
