We have run into Wara and her family on multiple occassions at weddings of couples she was friends or family with. Meeting Wara for her wedding was a breeze because we didn’t need to explain how we photographed and filmed weddings. She knew how hard we worked and the lengths we went to get the right shot. That’s why it was an honor that she chose us because it was an acknowledgement of the hard work we put into each and every wedding.
What can I say about Wara and Zahab?
They are simply amazing, down to earth, gracious and kind individuals who are perfect for one another. They are super successful in their careers and yet so humble. The list of adjectives can fill up this page. And to top it all off, they know how to throw a beautiful wedding.
What is a Mehndi Party?
A mehndi celebration in the muslim community is a non-religious event where the bride and groom’s families come together to dance, sing and just have a great time. In the other South Asian cultures (Punjabi, Gujarati, Hindu), this celebration is known as the sangeet. But whatever you call it, it is a festive night of lots of laughter, banter, Bollywood dance hits and fun. And let’s not forget about the delicious food stations. Typically, you will find a plethora of different food stations featuring yummy tastings from all over India, Pakistan and the subcontinent. I always love the gol gappa and channa chaat food stations.
