Wara and Zahab’s mehndi celebration at Esplanade Lakes was colorful and energetic. Their nikkah and wedding reception was just as beautiful with some heartfelt tears during the speeches that got our whole team choked up. There are so many emotions in South Asian weddings and its important to capture all these small details for our clients. For them, everything is a blur and it is our job as the photographer and cinematographer to capture moments that bring them back to their big day. The day started off with the couple’s first look in the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center Hotel. We highly recommend this modern and elegant hotel because it is perfect for large south asian weddings. Out of town guests can stay in the luxurious hotel and the venue itself is so beautiful for bride groom portraits if the weather sours. After the first look, we quickly started the wedding portraits around the lobby of the hotel. The wedding took place in the main floor grand ballroom so we needed enough time to cover the decor shots as well. It was nearly an 800 guest wedding and the room was just stunning. I love wedding decor with lots of candles, flowers dripping from tall centerpieces and a jaw dropping stage perfect for large family groupings (another important aspect of south asian weddings). Here are some highlights of their beautiful shaadi to get you inspired!
